Yep, you read that right…yet another ERROR variant edition of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles now exists…and for a #1 no less, which has has happened 2 other times in the past.  The error is  the orange color that was used throughout the cover instead of the deep red that was intended.  There’s certainly much more information on the Jetpack website regarding this edition if you’re interested in reading about it.

News of this error edition has been around now for a week or so (first posted for sale on eBay and then on the Jetpack website) but I wanted to wait to post about it until I received my copy for personal comparison purposes.  I’ve compared the error copy with my non-error copy and there is a color difference.  However, I’d say that without the non-error copy to compare against this is a very hard thing to identify with the naked eye.  There’s no specific item on the cover you can point to for easy standalone identification as with other TMNT error editions (i.e., Mirage TMNT #3 “Laird’s Photo” in white).  For this reason, collectors will need to be especially cautious about purchasing this in the future.
